GREAT CYPRUS MAPS ARE HARD TO FIND

let Under The Cyprus Sun show you the best Cyprus maps options currently available.
The biggest issue when trying to source decent Cyprus maps is undoubtedly one of 'quality’. Most are outdated, hard to read and severely lacking in detail.
There are a variety of maps available Free of Charge from the Cyprus Tourist Organisation which, though far from adequate, I'm afraid to say most of us have learnt to make do with.
There have been extensive road and highway developments across the island in the last few years so it is absolutely vital to acquire the most up to date versions of any maps available.
This applies particularly in the Limassol, Paphos and Troodos regions. I have met many a bemused tourist trying to navigate their way around the Troodos Mountains using an out of date Cyprus map found lurking at the back of the glove compartment of their hire car.
I'm sorry to say outdoor enthusiasts are no better off! It's impossible to source an adequate ordinance survey grade map of our gorgeous island. Which is such a shame considering the fantastic walking, cycling and trekking opportunities available across the island; a shortcoming that I severely hope will be addressed in the near future. Meanwhile walkers, orienteer's and off road cyclists will have to resort to the free CTO maps and unfortunately expect to get lost among the numerous unmarked tracks, dead ends and impassable dirt roads. My advice would be to hook up with a local group of like minded enthusiasts and benefit from their knowledge of the area.
So Lets have a look at those maps!
*Click on the Map at the top of this page for the current free CTO island road map*
I've organised the rest of the maps in this section by location so click on the appropriate area and you'll be taken to the page with links to the best maps I've found to date.
* When each map opens it will be in small scale and hard to read. Scroll over and click to enlarge or minimize.*
I will update these pages regularly as new and hopefully 'better' maps become available.
